Check out local Newcastle Country Singer Catherine Britt (Australia)
Acclaimed by Kasey Chambers as her "favourite female singer in
Australia", Catherine Britt is a 16 year old singer/songwriter from
Newcastle NSW. Catherine began singing in front of an audience as an
11 year old with the Steel City Country Music Club.
A chance meeting with Bill Chambers ( Dead Ringer Band ) and partner,
Audrey Auld after one of their shows in late 1998 led to the next step
forward. Bill and Audrey held a Hillbilly Jam each week in a pub in
Sydney to which all the big names in country music came to sing and
play. click the picture to find out more!
Check out Darlin and Rose (USA)
Darlin’ met Rose in 1979 about the time they were in their twenties.
Of course, she was silly shy and he could always make her blush.
Nervous was a normal feeling for her around him. Of course, he thought
it was funny. They both were involved at the time in a relationship
that was just not meant to be. As it is in most stories, times and
things change. It seemed they both had something they just had to do.
It wasn’t till 1999 that they were reunited. Both being into music
for the past 20 years, it was natural when Darlin’ began courting
her that he played his favorite songs for her, and she played hers for
him. click the picture to find out more!
Check out Hermann Lammers Meyer (Germany)
Actually it should be only a musically gig at that time in October
1973, when five young Emsländer entered the stage, to make music on
the occasion of a class meeting. This music which was sounding from
the stage to the public was nearly unknown and appropriate unusual.
It has been no dance music, nevertheless it was a music you could
dance to, it has been no well known pop music, not even Rock 'n' Roll.
It has been Country Music and everybody at the hall was fascinated by
this music, the mood which was set off, reached from crazy Yippee
cryings to very sad hot flushes of the minds. click
