Whether your a battle hardened industry professional or someone with a marketable radio voice looking for a break; lodging your voice profile with the voice bank is a great idea. You can make extra money in your spare time from your home studio. The Ausradiosearch Voice Bank is open to any person with a voice to market from anywhere in the world.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE
* Reliable. Our clients want their work done yesterday! Unhappy clients means less work for everyone in the voice bank as they will go elsewhere. You will need to give an estimate of the time within which you can deliver the recorded product. You will need to stick to this as closely as possible.

* Computer skilled. You should be able to record CD quality stereo .WAV files, compress them into .ZIP archives and email them to our collection address. Sometimes a client may only require an .MP3 for flat voice which you can email unzipped. If you need to rely on another person to do this for you, they will also need to be reliable and able to do it for you within the deadline you have set.

OR IDEALLY
Have your own web connected facilities where the finished file can be downloaded directly by the client. For each finished job you will need to supply a direct url for the finished file ( eg. http://www.yoursite.com/voicejob.wav). If you opt to use this delivery method you get higher rates as your covering the delivery costs yourself. You will also get more work as clients will be impressed by better download delivery times as they are not sharing the load on our single server to receive their work.

* Talented. Most of the voice banks clients are commercial radio stations. Whilst sometimes different sounding voices can be used, if you want regular work your voice must be marketable in Commercial Radio. We will accept any voice for work, but we can only host example audio files for professional commercial voices on the Ausradiosearch site (you must SOUND professional, whether you work in the industry or not doesn't matter). Where your voice is not what we consider directly marketable we will still list your profile regardless. If you later receive an offer of work from a client based on your profile alone however, we will then thereafter host your audio example file.

HOW DOES IT WORK
Radio clients contact the voice bank offering a job, usually after reading your profile and listening to your example sound file. They request the job or email us the job or phone through the requirements for the read and their requirements for things like music beds, FX etc. We email the job out to you that day, you email us back the finished product (or the direct link to it) ASAP. We contact the client by phone and they download the finished file from our voice pickup website, from your website, or we courier it out to them on CDR. We invoice the clients on the 30th of each month for all completed jobs and pay you your share by cheque within 7 days of them settling the account. If the amount owed to you is less than $100 AUS the amount is "rolled over" until it reaches or exceeds that, and it is then paid similarly by posted cheque.

HOW MUCH WE PAY
We charge you nothing to host your voice file and profile, the bandwidth, nor for supplying the service to you. Voice work is charged out in one of two ways. You can opt for the set fees below, which will probably mean more work, or set your own rates upon which we charge a flat commission. If the client has opted for a courier delivery rather than to collect their finished work via the internet, we also bill them the exact courier costs additional to the rates below.

$240 AUS

Complex production $400 AUS - We quote the client a price based on the number of hours determined necessary in consultation with you prior. Complex production would be for items like jingles.

OR SET YOUR OWN RATES
We charge a flat commission of 40% + 10% for GST so you will need to factor in 50% extra if you wish to charge in this way. You can only set rates ABOVE our set fees above, you can not undercut them. When you setup your profile you can quote the fees you want or choose to bill the standard rates.

  • Ausradiosearch Voice Bank does not extend credit, we expect full payment in advance for all voice work. This means that you get paid under all circumstances.

    Your payment will be sent via regular mail, made out to the name you have provided here in Australian dollars drawn on an Australian bank.  Accounts are totalled after the 30th of each month and payment is made if the amount exceeds $100 Australian. If the amount is less the balance is carried forward to the next month.




    Australian residents will need to provide an ABN or we will be required to withhold 50% of your payment under the tax rules. Non-Australian residents should leave this field blank.

    Whilst your voice could fall into many sub-categories we need to have a general idea of its timbre and maturity so clients only need audition the type of voice they want for a particular read.

    Often most voicers have several different voice personalities that they can offer for a read. If you only do straight reads however, that is fine.

    As mentioned above you can use our standard rates or you can set your own rates of payment. Please remember if you use your own rates that you can not quote less than the standard rates.

    If you want to quote your own rates supply the figures here. Remember that you must factor in our 25% commission plus 10% for GST.

    We need to know if you have the facilities/capability to include music beds or FX if a client wants them as part of the read.

    You must guarentee delivery back to us via email or to email us the exact download URL within a set time.


    Please do not encourage a direct relationship with Voice Bank clients by quoting your phone number or other contact details here as it is unfair to other Voice Bank users. Staff manually check all new entries to verify that they conform with this condition.
